Christian Gospel Mission & Jeong Myeong Seok

Christian Gospel Mission (Providence) is a Christian religious movement that was founded in 1978 founded by a South Korean Pastor called Jeong Myeong Seok. Providence’s main focus has always been to raise members to love the Almighty God, Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son Lord, with all our hearts, souls, and minds (Matthew 22: 37), all days of our lives. However, a number of these teachings do not conform to traditional, orthodox Christianity because of the new words preached by Jeong Myeong Seok, which has resulted in persecutions on the movement.

Like many new religious movements, CGM is also often persecuted by the media. The Feed by SBS Australia aired a biased and one-sided report with false allegations and now members of the church are coming forward to tell the truth about their experiences with Jeong Myeong Seok (some of whom were featured in the SBS Australia broadcast video without their consent). This video reveals the behind the scenes true stories and provides context to correct the Feed’s false depiction of the Providence religious movement, which had distorted the facts and damaged the reputation of CGM and victimized its members.

Short Excerpt of Video Transcript

Since 1999, Providence religious movement (founded by Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok) has been continually persecuted by news media organizations. even the korean court system ruled that the media must stop broadcasting biased news reports about providence. But its too late. The damage to their reputation is done. In the english speaking parts of the world, where the church has begun to grow, individuals have made it their personal crusade to prove Providence as a cult.

Despite these difficulties, the church continues to grow. There are now churches in over 25 countries, and members from over 50 nations. Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok continues to lead providence and has never once failed to provide every Sunday and Wednesday message by writing each one out by hand. The media may continue its negative portrayal of religion, but it cannot stop the influence of faith.
